Medical Guardian recently concluded its annual holiday giving initiative, Operation Frosty, an effort focused on providing warmth and safety for aging adults during the winter months.

Now in its 10th year, Operation Frosty reflects Medical Guardian’s long-standing commitment to supporting aging adults and vulnerable populations during periods of increased seasonal risk. The initiative brings together employees and partners in a shared mission to provide winter weather items to those in need.

This year’s campaign introduced a new partnership with One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that provides free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability, along with co-sponsorship support from FirstPRO Inc. and Beacon Hill Technologies. Throughout December, Medical Guardian collected winter clothing at its headquarters and raised financial donations to support aging adults across the country.

In total, the 2025 Operation Frosty initiative raised $10,000 and collected nearly 20,000 winter weather items, including coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Collected and purchased items were distributed locally in Philadelphia and, and for the first time, nationally to the following organizations, reaching more than 15,000 aging adults in need:

  • United Communities Southeast Philadelphia (Philadelphia, PA)
  • Northside Senior Service Center (Saint Louis, MO)
  • Gama Delta Iota CDC (Clinton Township, MI)
  • SeniorsPlus (Lewiston, ME)
  • Migration & Refugee Senior Services (Manassas, VA)
  • Walk by Faith (Racine, WI)
  • Concern Members for Unhoused Seniors Nonprofit (Fontana, CA)
  • Center for Active Seniors (Davenport, IA)
  • Senior Outreach Services (Baltimore, MD)
  • Turning Point (Jamaica, NY)
  • Isaiah 117 House (Bargersville, IN)

Through initiatives like Operation Frosty, Medical Guardian continues to support aging adults not only in emergencies, but in everyday ways that help them live safely, independently, and with dignity, reinforcing the company’s commitment to caring for aging adults year-round.
