This enables family, friends, and caregivers to stay updated on a loved one’s health and activity levels throughout the day. Plus with the Family Guardian app, you’ll receive instant notifications right to your email or smartphone. You will be alerted if the safety sensors detect that your loved one isn’t going about their normal routine or if they use their medical alert help button within 1,300 feet* of the base station to contact our 24/7 monitoring center. To provide your loved one with even more protection in the home, the Family Guardian is compatible with a fall alert pendant, which automatically triggers an emergency call when a fall occurs.

The Family Guardian’s water-resistant fall alert pendant enables your loved one to receive help should they fall in their home, even if they cannot push the button. When a fall is detected by the pendant, it sends a wireless signal to the base station, which then alerts our monitoring center using a cellular network. For just $10/month, you can enjoy the added peace of mind knowing that your loved one will always be able to receive help in an emergency thanks to this fall alert system for seniors.
*Fall Detection does not detect 100% of falls. If Customer is able, Customer should press the help button in the event of an emergency. The 911 emergency services line is an alternative to the System and the Services. Fall Detection should only be worn around the neck to allow for adequate detection of falls.
Yes. If your loved one is moving, all they have to do is install the base station and safety sensors in their new home, and notify our Customer Care Team so we can update your loved one’s account and make sure that help is sent to their new address.
If this is not a permanent move, however, and your loved one is simply going on vacation or visiting family and friends, we would not recommend relocating the safety sensors because they will not get the most accurate reading of your loved one’s activity if the sensors frequently move between different locations.
While the base station is not water-resistant, the wearable medical alert help buttons are highly water-resistant so your loved one can receive help should they fall while showering.
Yes. The Family Guardian base station has a 32-hour backup battery so your loved one will always be able to get help in an emergency, even during a power outage. Plus, you will receive an instant alert from Medical Guardian should the base station ever lose its power supply for any reason.
