The free Family Guardian Monitoring App can be downloaded from the iPhone App Store or Google Play for Android smartphones.
Once the app is downloaded, you can create accounts for caregivers/family members, test the safety sensors, and choose to receive email or SMS notifications of your loved one’s activity.

No. Your loved one can only speak to an emergency operator through the base station. The emergency help button simply allows your loved one to call for help up to 1,300 feet in every direction of the base station.
If your loved one is unable to speak with the operator, don’t worry – our TMA Five-Diamond-certified operators will ensure that they receive the immediate help they need.
Yes. The Family Guardian base station is compatible with multiple emergency help buttons so your loved one and his/her spouse (or another family member) can each be protected in the home – at no extra cost.
Yes. If your loved one is moving, going on vacation, or visiting family and friends, they can take Family Guardian with them! Simply install the base station and safety sensors at your new location, and notify our Client Services team so we can update your loved one’s account and ensure that help is sent to their new location.
We would not recommend relocating the safety sensors if this is not a permanent move, however, simply because the safety sensors will not get the most accurate reading of your loved one’s activity if the sensors frequently move between different locations.
While the base station and safety sensors are not water-resistant, the emergency help buttons are highly water-resistant so your loved one can call for help from anywhere in the home – even in the bathroom.
