Geoff Gross, Founder & CEO, Medical Guardian to Speak at CONNECTIONS™ Summit During CES 2019
Philadelphia, PA (January 7, 2019) — Medical Guardian, a leading provider of innovative connected care solutions for older adults and caregivers, announced that their Founder & CEO, Geoff Gross, will be speaking at Parks Associates’ 13th annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit during CES, the Global Stage for Innovation, in Las Vegas on Jan. 8.
Gross will participate in an expert panel discussion called Independent Living: Serving Consumers at Home, which will examine smart home solutions that deliver life and cost-saving health benefits, including medical monitoring, telehealth technologies, and personalized transportation services. The session will run from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Venetian, Level 4, Marcello 4405.
“Consumers 50 and older show strong interest in connected services that can support daily living needs that become more difficult with age,” said Jennifer Kent, Director, Research Quality & Product Development, Parks Associates. “New solutions can tap into this demand and growing interest in connected services for health-related purposes, and we will see many more examples of connected health solutions at CES 2019. In the independent living session at CONNECTIONS™ Summit, we will discuss the latest innovations and trends that extend and improve the independent living experience.”
Gross will be speaking alongside other expert panelists in the connected health market including Jay Holley, Head of Partnerships, Uber Health, Steve Chazin, VP, Product Management, Alarm.com, Claire Miles, Managing Director, Centrica Hive Ltd, Chris Gibbons, Founder and CEO, The Greystone Group, Inc., and Rob Flippo, CEO, MobileHelp. The panel will be moderated by Dina Abdelrazik, Research Analyst, Parks Associates.
“I’m honored to be speaking alongside other experts in the connected health field at CONNECTIONS™ Summit,” shares Geoff Gross, Medical Guardian. “With the variety of at-home technologies available to consumers, today’s top aging challenges – mobility, falls, loneliness, and transportation – can often be solved within the home. Innovations in connected care solutions, including Medical Guardian’s first-of-its-kind medical alert smartwatch, will help transform the healthcare market and enable people to live healthier, more connected, and longer lives.”
“More than 40% of consumers in U.S. broadband households own and use at least one connected health or wellness device, and 40% are interested in paying for a home wellness feature for themselves, such as emergency alerts for family members,” said Brad Russell, Research Director, Connected Home, Parks Associates.
The 13th annual CONNECTIONS™ Summit hosts more than 300 industry smart home, healthcare, connected entertainment and the Internet of Things (IoT) leaders, with sessions that analyze smart home and IoT trends and examine the implications for connected consumers and opportunities for companies to build new revenues and launch innovative business models.
