Will the Home Guardian protect me in my entire home?

Yes. The Home Guardian keeps you protected both in and around your home, so whether you experience an accident in the shower or while going about your daily routine, you will always be able to contact our monitoring center using your medical alert button.

Can I speak to an emergency operator through my emergency alert necklace or wristband?

No. You can only speak to an operator through the base station’s 2-way speaker system. The wearable medical alert button simply allows you to contact our monitoring center up to 600 feet in every direction of the base station. If you are unable to speak with our operators, they send emergency services to your home right away.

Are there any additional fees to pay for the Home Guardian using AT&T’s service?

No. You never have to worry about any additional fees for when the Home Guardian contacts our monitoring center using AT&T’s cellular network. Plus, you don’t even need to use AT&T in order to be protected in your home.

I live with my spouse. Can he/she be protected as well?

Yes. Multiple medical alert buttons can be synced with the base station so you and your spouse, or another family member, can be protected in and around your home.

How does an in-home fall alert system work?

For an extra layer of protection in your home, the Home Guardian can come with a water-resistant fall alert pendant. This pendant will automatically send a wireless signal to the base station should it detect a fall, and the base station will then contact our monitoring center through a cellular network. For just $10/month, your Home Guardian can become a fall alert system, ensuring that you will always be able to receive help in an emergency.

*Fall Detection does not detect 100% of falls. If Customer is able, Customer should press the help button in the event of an emergency. The 911 emergency services line is an alternative to the System and the Services. Fall Detection should only be worn around the neck to allow for adequate detection of falls.

Is the Home Guardian portable?

Yes. Whether this is a permanent or temporary move, such as a vacation or a visit to family and friends, you can bring the Home Guardian with you. All you have to do is notify our Customer Care Team so that we can update your account with your new location.

Is the Home Guardian water-resistant?

Even though the base station is not water-resistant, the wearable emergency buttons are highly water-resistant so you can trigger an emergency call should you experience an accident while in the shower.
