Yes, this device can be moved to a new location anywhere in the United States where there is a working landline.  The new address will need to be provided (temporary or permanent) by calling the Customer Care department or by logging into the MyGuardian Customer Portal.  The device should be tested at the new address to ensure it is working properly.

Extension cords and surge protectors can limit the amount of power the device receives resulting in the device not working properly.  The device’s power cord needs to be plugged directly into a wall outlet that does not operate on a light switch.

Yes, the volume can be adjustedPress the berry color volume button to adjust the volume level. 5 levels are available for selection. Each button press will lead to the next level. The cycle of 1-5 will be repeated sequentially. 

Yes, after an alarm is activated, the user has 10 seconds to press and hold the peripheral or help button on the device for 5 seconds to cancel the call. 

Testing once a month is a great way to ensure your equipment is in good working order. 

Buttons can be worn up to 1,400 feet away from the unit.

The neck pendent and wristband are waterproof and can be work in the shower or tub. can withstand being submerged in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes without any damage. buttons should be handled with care to prevent any unintentional damage or malfunction.

The base device has a 32-hour backup battery in the event of power loss. When power is restored, the battery will recharge on its own within 72 hours (about 3 days).
