How Emergency Alarms Work
Press Your Help Button
All emergency alerts have a help button to press, which connects you with a 24/7 monitoring center in seconds.
Talk To An Emergency Operator
An emergency operator talks with you to understand the help you need – emergency or not. Operators receive intensive training to handle any situation, so you’re in good hands.
Receive Immediate Assistance
If you can’t be reached through the device, the operator will call your emergency contact or automatically send emergency medical services to ensure your safety.
Best Medical Alert For You
Emergency devices can come in different types to ensure they fit your lifestyle. Medical alert systems can be at-home systems or mobile emergency alerts that you wear when you’re out and about.

Emergency Fall Alert
Medical alert systems can feature fall detection technology. This technology senses an abrupt change in movement. It can activate a fall detection alert and atomically call the monitoring center. (Since no technology is 100% perfect, always push your panic button when needed.)
Why Purchase An Alarm System?
Certain Medications
Sedatives and other medications can put you at risk of falling. This is an added risk.
Chronic Medical Condition
Many chronic conditions put you at a higher risk of falling and sustaining an injury from that fall.
Active Lifestyle
Fall detection brings a layer of added security if you are outdoorsy, enjoy hiking, and engage in outdoor activities.
Live Alone
People who live alone are more vulnerable to injury because they may not have someone to help in an emergency. Our alerts are used for all types of emergencies, not just falls.
Balance Issues
Balance Issues Issues with your ears, brain, muscles and gait can cause you to feel off balance. If you’re dealing with these problems, a medical alert with fall detection is a good choice.

Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a medical alert device? Can't I just use my cell phone to call 911 in an emergency?
Unlike a cell phone, our medical alert devices are highly water-resistant wearable buttons, perfect for shower use. Additionally, a cell phone will not always be nearby in an emergency, making it an unreliable option when it comes to ensuring your safety. With our devices, however, you can rest assured that you will always have access to help by wearing a discreet and lightweight button around your neck, wrist, or on a clip. Our medical alert devices can also be used for more than just emergency situations including contacting a family member or loved one at the push of a button. The ease of use of our products with a single button press truly set our devices apart from your typical cell phone, especially in the case of an emergency.
Where are Medical Guardian's medical alert services available?
Our services are available in all 50 states. We also provide services in Puerto Rico and Canada, but device restrictions may apply.
Are Medical Guardian's medical alert systems covered by Medicare?
Standard Medicare does not cover the cost of a medical alert device. However, some Medicare Advantage plans (Medicare part C), may cover or reimburse you for the costs associated with a device. You would need to check with your specific Medicare Advantage provider to see if they would cover one of our devices. Medicaid may cover the cost of a medical alert device, depending on your plan and your state. Check with your Medicaid provider to see if they would cover one of our devices.
Do I need a landline to use a Medical Guardian medical alert system?
No. While our Classic Guardian requires a landline telephone connection, we offer another home-based medical alert device, Home 2.0, and two mobile products, Mobile 2.0 and Mini Guardian, that use a nationwide cellular network to contact our 24/7 monitoring center at no extra cost to you.
Where is Medical Guardian's monitoring center located?
Our monitoring center is located right here in the United States, so you never have to worry about experiencing any language barriers in an emergency.
