Troubleshooting Your Classic Guardian

  1. Flip your Classic Guardian’s base station over, and make sure that the power switch is in the “ON” position.
  2. Double check that your Classic Guardian’s base station is not plugged into an outlet that’s controlled by a light switch. Double check that it’s also not plugged into an extension cord or a surge protector.
  3. If the power switch is in the “ON” position and the base station has not been plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch, an extension cord, or a surge protector, please move the base station to another power outlet not controlled by a light switch.
  4. Turn the base station off, remove, and re-insert the back up battery.

If after following these steps the lights on your base station still do not come on, please call our Customer Care team at 1-800-313-1191.

  1. Press all wearable buttons that you have.
  2. If the red trouble light continues to blink after pressing your buttons, please power cycle the unit by turning it off, waiting for 30 seconds, and turning it back on.

To use your Classic Guardian’s base station as a speakerphone, please let your home phone ring at least four (4) times. Once your home phone has rung at least four (4) times, press your emergency button. Your Classic Guardian’s base station will pick up the call, and you can speak with the caller directly through the base station.

  1. Try testing again.
  2. If your test call drops during a second test, power cycle the unit by turning it off, waiting for 30 seconds, and turning it back on. Once your Classic Guardian is turned back on, please re-test.
