Who Needs a Medical Alert Device

My elderly parents live with me – why would they need a medical alert system?

Even If your older parents live with you, you cannot always be there, especially if you work long hours or occasionally have to leave them alone for long periods of time. A emergency call system provides peace of mind for everyone.

What type of personal alert devices are available?

There are several different product options that might be right for you:
• The cellular medical alert home base system plugs into a landline phone jack
• The cellular home base system connects wirelessly to AT&T cell towers
• The GPS-enabled Mobile Alert device also connects to AT&T cell towers but is intended to be more portable
• The Fall Alert system works in conjunction with the cellular home base system and is equipped with automatic fall detection technology

Who is the senior alarm service right for?

Our emergency call button for elderly is right for seniors, or people of any age who are:

Equipment and Installation

How much does the equipment cost?

There is no charge for the equipment. We send you our state of the art medical alert base station and senior alarm button at no cost.

How can I wear my medical alert button?

Each client has the choice of wearing their water-resistant senior alarm button as a necklace or wristband. Please tell your representative which way you’d prefer to wear it. Typically, most women prefer to wear it around the neck as an emergency alert necklace. Most men like to wear it around the wrist as a medic alert watch.

Will someone come to install my quick response landline Medical Alarm?

Setup is so easy, there is no need for anyone to come to your home. Simply plug the base station into a standard telephone jack and press the button to verify that you are connected to the monitoring station.

Is the installation process different for a cellular Medical Alarm device?

Yes. The cellular base system does not need to be plugged into a phone jack. It wirelessly connects to AT&T cell towers in your area. You do, however, have to plug the base into a power outlet.

How does fall detection technology work?

Medical Guardian’s Fall Detection technology uses accelerometers and barometric pressure meters to constantly monitor a change in velocity. All it takes is a drop of 18 inches for the device to detect that a fall has occurred. There is always a chance that the System may fail to operate properly. The Fall Detection Pendant does not detect 100% of falls. If Client is able, Client should press your help button on Fall Detection Pendant in the event of an emergency.

An important point to remember when obtaining senior alarms systems for you or a loved one is that many falls do happen not only inside the home but in the yard or driveway.

Do I have to sign a contract to start service?
